About Abiènto
Labradors
Abiènto Labradors is a KUSA-registered stud located on Moyafarm, situated halfway between Wellington and Malmesbury, against the Paardeberg.
We breed Labrador Retrievers with a strong focus on health, temperament, and sound genetics. All breeding dogs are carefully selected based on excellent hip, elbow and hereditary health results.
At Abiènto Labradors, our dogs are first and foremost family companions. They are part of our daily farm life and are well accustomed to all farm animals and activities.
Our Story
More than 40 years ago, I met my husband — and along with him came his black Labrador, Dolla. From that moment, I fell in love with both my husband and the Labrador breed. Since then, Labradors have remained my breed of choice, admired for their exceptional intelligence, eagerness to learn, and desire to please.
It was only in 2015 that we had the opportunity to begin breeding Labradors. From the beginning, we committed ourselves to responsible breeding, selecting only dogs with strong health testing and sound conformation.
Our Puppies & Families
We take great care in selecting suitable homes for our puppies, and it is always a privilege to meet the families who welcome them into their lives. Each placement is meaningful — whether it is a young couple choosing their first puppy together, an elderly couple welcoming their final Labrador companion, parents seeking a devoted companion for an autistic child, or a family healing after loss and choosing a puppy in memory of a child gone too soon.
These stories are deeply treasured and form an important part of our journey.
Meaning of Abiènto
Our journey with Labradors and the wonderful people we have met along the way inspired the name Abiènto, meaning "See you soon."
It reflects our belief that when our puppies leave the farm, it is not a goodbye — but rather the beginning of a lifelong connection. Our puppy families become part of an extended Labrador family, sharing updates, photos, and special moments that we deeply value.
